Residential Bath

The owners of this traditional bungalow home wanted to remodel their master bathroom that has had several remodeling attempts throughout the years. The space was partitioned into three separate areas for the shower, vanity, and toilet area. Their vision was to open up the whole space to make it feel airy and bright, utilizing the natural light from the existing eyebrow windows. 

The inspiration for this transitional design came from their home town in Boston, where traditional subway tile is extensively used. The dark grout joints and the patterned floor tile bring the bungalow charm throughout the room, including the shower niche. Being their home for retirement, the clients requested that the shower be large and functional, but aesthetically pleasing. The result is a master bathroom that the owners wish they had up north!
