Design Consultant Sales

The Design Consultant (DC) is responsible for the day-to-day activities focused on communicating, maintaining and executing the Strobel Design Build (SDB) design/build process as set forth by the SDB Leadership Team. The DC is responsible for setting sales goals with the SDB Leadership that can be defined and achieved on a quarterly basis, ultimately resulting in year-end achievement of goals.  The DC will be responsible for selling no less than $2,000,000.00 of contracts in their first year with growth expected.  These sales will derive from SDB leads generation services, referrals and networking activities focusing on residential design/build projects.  Job size will vary based on overall budgets and expectations as they align with SDB services. Products and services sold include but not limited to partial or full remodels of kitchens and bathrooms, additions, patios, outdoor kitchens, etc.

In conjunction with their sales and design responsibilities, the DC will be responsible for working with the SDB pre-production team as well as the SDB Superintendents and production team members to ensure a successful completion of the project.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain high levels of ethics, morals, and standards in the design, sales, and production process.
  • DC is highly motivated with a strong desire to grow the SDB brand and customer base.
  • Maintain high level of performance and customer satisfaction to ensure customer loyalty.
  • Develop, direct, and manage all aspects of the project design concept.
  • Work with SDB Leadership Team to implement successful sales and growth strategies with the objective to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Market the SDB brand and process to each customer and potential customers.
  • Effectively and thoroughly communicate contract terms and SBD process to clients and potential customers.
  • Have a very strong and diverse knowledge of products and services offered and/or installed by SDB.
  • Effectively qualify in-bound leads generated through SBD lead system.
  • DC will be responsible for converting and creating new accounts using the SDB tools and process.
  • DC is required to manage, upload and enter all sales activity, client communications, and schedules within the Lead Opportunity profile within Builder Trend; manage dates/schedules on the Design/Sales/Estimating spreadsheet as well as creating a Pre-Scope of Work document for all new design/build projects.
  • Work with SDB production team to ensure the overall design strategy meets or exceeds client satisfaction.
  • Additional responsibilities not listed may arise as the company grows.

Qualifications

  • The DC will be expected to work approximately 40-hours a week with the understanding their work ethic and desire for success will apply the hours necessary to ensure they’re meeting and exceeding their sales goals. Being on time, professional in appearance, and prepared for work, is an essential part of our unique way of doing business.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary
  • Sales Commission as outlined by the Commission Compensation Plan
  • Transportation will be provided by the DC – they’ll drive their own car. Employee is to provide reliable transportation that is professional in appearance. No offensive materials to be displayed on the employee’s automobile.

Commissioned Sales Compensation Plan:

  • Tiered Comp for Project Sales based on the collected, not estimated, gross profit dollar. Percentage paid is off of the total revenue of the job based on the gross profit percentage of job performance.
  • Commissions will be paid monthly based on the revenue generated that month by each job.
