Residential Kitchen

Maintaining the character of this 1949 built home was of paramount importance to our client. As with many homes of this age, the kitchen was remodeled several times without regard to the original era of the home. 

In addition to bringing back the mid-century aesthetic of the kitchen, our clients requested improved functionality, with multiple ovens, additional storage, and plenty of task lighting. To accomplish this, a reconfiguration of the kitchen was completed. But to really show off the unique character of the home’s construction, removing the drop ceiling to expose the concrete “I” beams was an idea the clients fell in love with. Not without challenges, pulling back years of renovations on this charming mid-century home was worth every effort. The final result is a colorful era-appropriate kitchen that meets every need and desire of our client.
